Romanticism

Romanticism

Romanticism was during the nineteenth century, it began in Germany and England in the 1770's. In the beginning of the eitheenth century, poems, drama, novels, painting, sculptures and some forms of concert music started to form such as ballet which is nowadays very popular.

Romanticism was emphasized most in imagination and emotion. A famous painter of Romanticism is Delacroix, he painted the famous painting,"Liberty leading the people". 



This painting is The Liberty of the people of Delacroix, it represents freedom from the French Revolution in 1830. It was inspired from the New York's Statue of Liberty.
